Seawolves add strong net presence with addition of Kilburn
(Saint John, NB) The Seawolves women's volleyball team is adding 5'11" middle from Fredericton New Brunswick, Elle Kilbrun, to their 2024-25 roster.
Kilburn joins the Seawolves after playing two seasons with St. Thomas University. No stranger to the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA), head coach Colin Chambers looks forward to adding that experience to his team. "She has valuable experience playing in the ACAA and will be able to step in right away to provide quality depth at both middle and right side, Chambers said. "Her skill and leadership abilities will be a positive influence on the rest of the group and help our team take a step forward this year, "he added.
As the MVP of AAA Regional and Provincial champions in 2022 when she played on the varsity girls' volleyball team at Fredericton High School, she not only has talent on the court but also helps others develop their skills as a developmental coach for beach and indoor volleyball.
"Volleyball has been one of the biggest commitments in my life. Whether I am a player, an official, or a coach, I always seem to find my way to the gym," she said.
Kilburn is enrolled in UNB Saint John's Bachelor of Health program with aspirations to be a radiologist specializing in pediatrics. "I chose UNBSJ because it has a great athletic program, a wonderful campus with lots of opportunities for different activities, and a strong focus on education," she said.
Welcome to the Seawolves family, Elle!
