In the final set, the Seawolves kept their focus and determination intact, once again defeating the Tommies 25-18. With this win, the Seawolves secured their place in the ACAA finals against the Mount Allison Mounties, their strongest opponent throughout the 2024-25 regular season. The last time these two teams faced each other was at the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre, where Seawovles beat the Mounties for the first time in the season.
Head coach colin chambers shared his excitement:"This is a first for us as a group, and for everyone in that dressing room, it's their first time going to finals. It was a consistently well-played game, and there is a lot more that we have. I think we're ready for Mount A tomorrow," he said.
Sydney flower, the Seawolves' player of the game and fourth-year middle, expressed her enthusiasm: "We feel really good. That was a really good way to set the tone for the weekend. Just being confident and having fun. Tomorrow (Sunday, Feb. 23) will be the same, just come in with the same relaxed intensity, and be aggressive, swing hard, and we're excited to hopefully bring home the banner."
